About Marty Apel

I am a licensed realtor in both the state of Maryland as well as the District of Columbia, and have worked for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Bethesda, Maryland for many years. I have experience with listing and selling homes in communities of both Maryland, and the District of Columbia but primarily sell in Maryland. In particular, many of the properties I have marketed are found in the Manor Country Club subdivision of Rockville, Maryland and are featured on my Properties page, in photographs. I bring many years of professional experience and in-depth knowledge about the local real estate markets to my clients, and I am adept at helping clients find their desired home of choice, and to successful price and sell their homes, having handled listings of numerous properties over the years.

Manor Country Club is one of my prime sales areas. This beautiful country club neighborhood provides 27 holes of golf, three swimming pools, 10 har-tru tennis courts, along with several dining options as well as fun activities for famlies throughout the year. Manor is a lovely community with beautiful treed, landscaped lots that boast unique, custom-built homes. It is also my home community and I have sold more than half of the homes in the neighborhood.

Prior to living in Maryland I also lived in Seattle, Washington and in Coral Gables, Florida with my family. I am familiar with what it means to be relocating and searching for a new home in a new city. Having worked with Coldwell Banker as a relocation specialist, I have assisted homebuyers with becoming familiar with this area, and in finding a home that would suit their needs, as well as helping to make their transition a smooth and comfortable process.

Other real estate endeavors that I have ventured into, have included working with a foreign client on the purchase and eventual construction, design, and marketing of two high-end embassy residences in the District of Columbia. For this particular client I found the original property sites, as well as an architect and a builder; then oversaw the construction and design process, as well as the eventual marketing of these homes, which were created especially for elegant enteratining to be used by embassies. Eventually the homes, which are located at a prime address in DC, became temporary residences for several foreign embassy staffs. In 2013, one of the homes was also used by the DC Design House Committee as that year’s Decorator Showcase Home. A couple of years later, the first-built home was then also chosen to be a Design House. The 2013 Design House event was one of the most successful events held by the Committee, to benfit The Children’s Hospital, wiht a record number of attendees.

Whether you are looking for a large home or a smaller one, a townhome or condominium, I will help you to find a property that suits your needs and meets your expectations; and above all, a home that you will enjoy living in!
