  Welcome to my homepage! I am a realtor with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Bethesda, Maryland where I have been a top producer for many years.    My areas of expertise are in listings, sales, and relocation. I am licensed in both Maryland and the District of Columbia, where I have marketed properties for many clients over the years. My clients have come back to me repeatedly for a second and often third time, to sell their homes, or to help them find a new one. Additionally, I work with first-time homebuyers to assist them in qualifying financially to choose the right home that will meet both their needs and expectations, as well as fitting into their financial capability. I am able to successfully guide homebuyers through all of the steps of buying a home, from purchase time through settlement, making the process a smooth one in every regard.

  Whether you are buying or selling your home, I am capable of assisting you in determining the value of your property in today’s changing market. In both 2015 and 2016, we have an improving market with home values on the rise, and the real estate market is once again showing signs of positive growth! Home values have risen and are expected to continue rising with Americans being more optimistic now about real estate than they have been for several years. This has been attributed to the fact that Federal interest rates have remained low until just this year, and the foreclosure inventories are finally a thing of the past, making the banks more willing to lend. However, pricing your home to sell in the current market is very important, and I encourage my clients to be realistic when their homes have been on the market for a period of time.


Economic Outlook for Housing in 2016:

  According to Realtor.com, the economic oulook for the housing market in 2016 is expected to be good, with a return to “normal.” While 2015 was considered the best year for the housing market since 2007, in 2016 the market will continue to stabilize, with many of the abnormal trends we have seen in the recent past, receding. There may at the same time be a bit of a slowdown, but job growth continues in a positive direction, and two sectors of the population are expected to play a key role in the housing market: Millenials and older Baby Boomers or Seniors, who are looking to retire. It is expected that these two groups will in fact keep the housing market very active.

Other indications of improvements include a decline in new home prices for first-time buyers, while credit access to first-time buyers has been improving. Home builders are also begining to target the first-time homebuyers, making new home prices more accessible to this sector.


Although mortgage rates increased moderately this year, they are still not out of reach, and the increase should spur more homeowners to both buy and sell, before the rates do go up.
On another note, rentals are still very expensive, and with more than 85% of renters having a rental cost that exceeds their household incomes by 30%, this is not a good trend. But because of this trend, it is at this time, more affordable to buy for those who can quyalify. However, for those who cannot, we need to see more construction of affordable rental housing occurring, so that renters will have better less costly options in the future.

What’s new for me as a realtor in 2016? This past fall, I set up a team with some other colleagues from my office. Our new team is called, “The CB International Group,” so named because we have both international work and travel experience, as well as the capability of speaking five different languages among us.
